End of year dream camera review
Written by Richard Seymour on Saturday, December 19, 2009

Yeah, I don't spend too much time doing "reviews" on the 73,792 models of digital cameras out there these days, I mean wouldn't I have to start including cell phones now too?  Just crazy--that's all.  But, when I come to you guys with something, it is really worth looking at.  So, find enclosed here a review on a really, really awesome camera, that comes from a company that normally has automobile price tags on their camera bodies... but this one is actually aimed at a wider - "prosumer" market.

An Introduction to UI, With David Seah

Okay, this one really isn't for that many people out there, however I saw a guy walking down Newbury the other day with a Nikon D3X around his neck (yeah, really) - but he also had the Nikon factory camera strap attached, as well as the cap still proudly displayed on the "kit-lens" that came with it (think of that like an extra battery).  Okay, so even fewer still probably know what I am talking about with the Nikon guy, but some of you do, or get it anyway.

That brings me to those of you, or us... that have always wanted to own a Leica... and if you're saying "what is that..?" no hard feelings if you want to stop reading at this point.  However, some of us know that a Leica is one of those things where even a pro photographer (some anyway) points and says "look, that guy has a Leica," whenever someone comes walking down the way sporting one over his shoulder.

So, here is an article on what I am calling the BMW 3 series version of the Leica.  The three series BMW has always been the poor man's version of a real BMW, so here is Leica's answer to the same thing - the Leica X1.  Still over 2K, but hey, it's a Leica!
